With December on our doorstep, we are now fully in the festive season! For any Scrooges out there who are struggling to get into the festive spirit, we have Beauty and the Beast, Prince Stroppy Pants and the Christmas Caper, Family Festivities at Markeaton Park, the return of the Cathedral Quarter 3aaa Christmas Ice Rink, as well as many more events to help you get into the Christmas spirit.


We also have an excellent selection of amateur shows, as well as comedy from the comic maestro; Stephen K Amos, and music from 'The Welsh Springsteen' - Martyn Joseph, amongst a variety of others.

Starring Derby's very own GWEN TAYLOR and BEN FAULKS (CBeebies' Mr Bloom).


In the little french village of Spondon-on-the-Seine Belle is pursued by the handsome but not too bright local heartthrob Gaston (Aston Dobson). She yearns for adventure, but soon gets more than she bargained for when, along with her neighbours Idle Jacques (CBeebies’ Mr Bloom) and his mother Betty Brioche (Morgan Brind), she finds herself trapped inside an enchanted castle by a mysterious beast. Will true love conquer all? Will the Enchantress' (Gwen Taylor) curse ever be broken? Will Betty Brioche burn her baguettes?


Featuring shimmering sets, outrageous costumes, magic, mayhem and monstrous fun, this brand new production promises to be Derby LIVE’s most spectacular panto yet!

He is rude and lazy and worst of all he is given everything that he asks for. But one day he asks for the unthinkable...

"I want Father Christmas' Magical Sleigh and I want it now!" And his dad the Right Royal King sets out to find it.


After a week of waiting the Prince starts to worry. "Where is my daddy? I want him now!". Will the Prince get his daddy back?

New performance venue consultation


Derby City Council have begun a public consultation on the results plans for a new performance venue to replace the old Assembly Rooms venue.

There will be an information booth at Derby Arena from Fri 8 to Fri 15 Dec.
